Field Trip to Easton

Today we made the trip to Easton for the Crayola Experience

We watched a deninstration of how the crayons are made.
Here they are being labelled.
( something that is ok to do to crayons)

Sebastian designing a label for his crayon.

The whole crazy clan
Well the crazy part of the clan anyway.

Modelling clay

They got to take coloring page pictures of themselves, then color them.
Two things I learned today:
It's a long drive to Easton with kids in the car.
And B. never ever leave babies wubba nubba nuk at home for a 13 hr day away!

All in all I would say it was a nice day.
The kids loved all the activities and we didn't even get around to them all.

Family time is the Best Time

It was a chilly,
wood stove-y,
deer spotting,
lay around on couches,
easter egg dying,
ice fishing,
walk taking,
book reading,
game playing,
nap taking
kind of weekend in the mountains.

And now it's a bag unpacking,
heaps of laundry doing,
baby wants held alot,
boy doesn't want to do school
Monday morning.

But the sun is shining and soon wash will be on the line and we may cut school short and hold baby boy more.
Happy Monday!

Spring is Coming!!

 It begins tomorrow, in fact!

Sebastian and I spied quite a few critters outside our window today.
Apparently, they are looking for food and ready for spring, too.

Few things excite me more than the first signs of spring!
        (especially after a long winter)

Peter Cottontail kept cleaning his ears and mouth with his little paws
and I kept missing it with the camera.

Can't wait to till the garden
and get my hands dirty
and grow something!

Have a good day, all!
