The weekend is here!

aaah fall is here,
the crisp cool air,
the smell of fall,
leaves changing..
I love it all!
And find it energizing!

The car is all shined up and ready for the weekend!

And so am I !!
Lets go son the weekend awaits us!
And while we're at it why not turn a year older?

You know, sometimes I wonder..
But i was looking at this picture and decided
really I do look decently youthful for turning 26...




Oh wait that says 18
NOT 26..

oh well there is more to life then looks :)

PPHEEWW..Another wedding finished!! Part 2

Just one more picture of the wedding dresses I did.
(minus the little girls)

This dress was fun!

Not an awesome picture but it shows you how the back was done.
The v has piping in it.
And yes, if you looked closely it is missing a few buttons.
It was waiting for somebody to make a few more.

Violet, my favorite and only dress form, modeling the skirt..
It has a v shaped waistline, wide pleats that open to make a full, wide train.
(In this case the train was about 2-3 inches long)

The almost-finished-product
(she is holding the broach and it gets beads hand sewn to the lace yet)

This, quite obviously, is the bottom of the dress :)

I didn't get any pics of the bridesmaids dresses... maybe when somebody posts some of the wedding I can borrow some...

Homemade Sleeping Bag

For school Sebastian needed something to take his afternoon nap in..
Could I just got a little pillow and blankie somewhere?
No
I had to get big ideas about making a homemade sleeping bag.
and in typical Angie fashion I got a lil tired of my project half way thru.
But finally, one day before it needs to be at school I finished it.

Also, like most of the big ideas I get in my head,
my finished product didn't live up to my expectations.
But Sebastian is happy with it
so I guess thats what really matters.

I simply pieced and knottted a simple blanket,
bound the edges,
pieced the pillow case,
appliqued the little trucks on and embroidered his name,
sewed the two together
and finally added ties to tie it shut like a sleeping bag...

And wah-lah!
